Each month we profile a different wine region. All wine tastings will include wines from this region. You’ll not only get to taste wines from that area, but we’ll also share the history about the region.

 

REGION OF THE MONTH

BURGUNDY, FRANCE

Burgundy is a gastronomically rich region located southeast of Paris. It spans 138 miles from Dijon to just north of Lyon. The region has the longest recorded history of wine production, and is home to eight distinct wine regions.

The principal red varieties are Pinot Noir and Gamay and whites are Chardonnay and Alligoté. Wines are often blended with wines from the same appellation therefore, wine is marketed by the AOC not a specific grower.

FAQ’S

  • We’re at 112 E 8th Street, Tyler, TX 75701 in the historic Bergfeld Center.

  • Our hours are:
    Monday - Wednesday: 10am - 6pm
    Thursday - Saturday: 10am - 8:30pm

    The kitchen is open from 11:00am - 3:00pm and light bites of cheese and cured meats are available from 3:00pm - Close.

  • Wine tastings will vary in price dependent upon the wines being featured each month. Prices typically range between $20-$30.

  • We can accommodate up to 16 people for a tasting, however, it is very dependent upon the time you wish to reserve. 16 people can be accommodated when the Market and Kitchen have closed for the day as a private tasting party. A party of 8 can be accommodated at our tasting bar and we have three tables that seat 4 people.

    Our goal is to provide the best experience for our guests. If we know well in advance of your tasting we will ensure you have a great time. Of course, 1-2 people are much easier to accommodate…let's work together and make a fantastic tasting happen for you and your friends!

  • Tastings typically last 30-40 minutes.

  • We typically offer five 1 oz pours per tasting. We reserve the right to offer more if we just cannot leave an exceptionally great wine off the list that we want you to try!

  • The Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission does allow for 18-20 year olds to partake in alcohol when accompanied by their parents, however, it is Nourish ETX policy to only serve guests over 21 years of age. When in doubt, guests will be asked for an ID so be sure to have yours with you!

  • Tastings are a mixture of red, white, and rosé, which represent wines from the region of the month.

  • We offer wines from around the globe. France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Portugal, Spain, South America, New Zealand, Australia, you name it. Want a different wine? We’d be happy to order it.

  • Yes! All wines by the case come with a 10% discount. Our Wine Club also has more discounts store wide!

  • Most of our wines range from $20 - $50 per bottle, however, we do offer an extensive list of higher priced wines upon request. Tell us what you want!

  • We do! We have free delivery on cases of wine within the city limits of Tyler, TX.

  • We do offer both gluten free (GF) and dairy free (DF) options. Our menu will clearly denote these items. When in doubt, ask our friendly staff.

  • We do prefer to purchase mainly organic products and items produced with regenerative/biodiverse farming practices, however, not all products are organic. Please ask our staff for specific items of concern.
